Hello Everyone,
We’re delighted to welcome you live from the heart of Little Italy. Buon giorno a tutti!
For the next hour, we’ll be showcasing Italian culture.
It’s often said that Italians are masters in the art of fine living, and that their expertise has spread far beyond Italy’s borders. Gastronomy, painting, music, urban design, fountains and gardens—in Italy, everything can be summed up in one sentence: la vita è bella!
Here in Montréal, we’re very fortunate to have a deep-rooted community willing to share the everyday secrets of this art of living.
For our concert today, who better than a worthy representative of this community to help us appreciate all the richness and variations of Italy’s musical tradition.
With a career spanning over 30 years, Marco Calliari has prepared for us a rich and surprising mix of great Italian classics with a
contemporary twist. Songs we love to hear or hum, with a Calliari touch. He will be joined on stage by multi-instrumentalist Tim S. Savard.
Without further ado, please welcome Marco and Tim for Mia dolce vita!

Ah! The art of Italian living! We realize that we forgot to mention one of this art’s most important aspects: love and passion.
What better way to appreciate the quintessence of this feeling, and all the variations and emotions that flow from it, than through Neapolitan song?
For this second part of Una Dominica Italiana, we have Ms. Daniela Fiorentino, an internationally renowned singer and actress, originally from Naples, of course.
With a rich voice that is intimate yet powerful, Ms. Fiorentino will offer a performance rooted in her memories of travel and the cultures that are part of her. Neapolitan melodies are at the heart of her artistic career.
Light-hearted and mischievous, she draws us into a world of freedom and mystery, with a touch of folly.
This authentic, magnetic, and passionate performer will inspire you to visit and sing about her beautiful homeland, Napoli.
She is accompanied today by musicians Arden Arapyan (piano), Luzio Altobelli (accordion), Alain Picotte (bass), and Yvon Plouffe (drums).
Let’s welcome Ms. Daniela Fiorentino for Souvenirs d’Italia.
